Is your house on a crawl space, concrete slab or a basement foundation?

The reason we ask is because it may be necessary to know for the fireplaces hearth requirements. If the fireplace is sitting on the floor then you may need an insulating underlayment board with a high R-1 Value underneath your noncombustible hearth if the fireplace manual says you need it.
