High Efficient Zero Clearance Wood Fireplace

A high efficient zero clearance fireplace is a pre-manufactured fireplace made to go into a wood framed wall and vented through the roof or up a chase. You do not have to build a masonry fireplace and then get a wood insert to get heat. The high efficient zero clearance fireplace is made to heat like a wood insert but is made to go into a wood framed wall, making it a great choice for retrofit or new construction jobs. These all have doors on the front that you close in order to start heating your house. They are not like prefabricated fireplaces that are open and are only about 10% efficient, these are usually 70% or more efficient for heat.

When building in new construction home you are more open to different choices. However, we will need to know how you are going to run the venting, if it is through the roof or up a chase. Building plans can be emailed to us to give you a proper estimate.

Since open prefabricated fireplaces are not efficient for heat a lot of people ask us to remove their old prefabricated fireplace and install a high efficient zero clearance fireplace to give them a better heating option. RSF and Majestic Warm Majic II or Pioneer II usually fit as a retrofit in an existing chase because they are 24" in depth or less. Fireplaces with more depth than that usually do not work as a retrofit option.
