1. The unit hasn’t been serviced annually since you purchased it.
Vent-fee gas logs are not maintenance free. They must be inspected & cleaned
annually by a professional gas technician.
2. The log(s) are out of place and are impinging the flames.
This is one of the most common problems. Check your Owners Manual for the proper
placement.
3. You’re running a ceiling fan in the wrong direction and/or at to high a speed.
Using a ceiling fan to help distribute the heat works well. But, the blades of the fan
should be set to turn counter clock (as you’re looking up at the fan) and set on slowest
speed.
4. You’re burning scented candles while the burner is in operation.
Scented candles soot any way. When you add the warm, moist heat from the Vent-free
Gas Log Set. They’ll soot 50 times worse.
1. Poor air quality: Combustion is never 100% efficient; some combustion by-products or exhaust are always produced. In a “ventless” gas product, post-combustion byproducts and exhaust are vented into the home, along with any excess moisture. These combustion byproducts include: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and water vapor. These byproducts can degrade indoor air quality and may cause unnecessary exposure to toxic gases. It can cause all sorts of health problems ranging from mild headaches to death. Vent free can cause lung irritation and can affect anyone but is strongly not recommended for people with any lung conditions (asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, immunocompromised, pregnancy or other health conditions). Even gases other than carbon monoxide can cause respiratory problems if they’re present in large enough quantities and/or someone in the home has sensitivity to that gas. It also produces an odor while burning and intensifies the odors already present in the living space (dust, pet dander etc.). If you decide to install a vent-free gas fireplace, install multiple carbon monoxide detectors in your home. Check them regularly.
2. Water Vapor ( Moisture, mold, or mildew): Constant use of “ventless” products will exhaust a lot of moisture into the home, which could lead to excessive condensation, mold, or mildew. This may cause or exacerbate allergic reactions. Excessive moisture can also lead to deterioration of the structure of your home. Wood can be severely damaged by mold, mildew, or dry rot.
By signing an estimate means that I have read and understood the cons of owning a vent free gas product and I will not hold All Pro Fireplace responsible for the possible negative effects of my health, home and safety. I understand that I will not receive any exchanges or refunds on any vent free/ventless fireplaces.

At All Pro Fireplace, we offer a wide range of vented and vent free gas logs to suit any style. Our fireplaces are designed with safety, efficiency, and style in mind.
This system has a standing pilot but is lit by you manually hitting the piezo ignitor to get the pilot on, then you use a knob on the fireplace to turn the flame on. There is an option for remote control that are just on/off and other brands may have an option to adjust the flame height and turn down btu's. Vent Free brands that we sell in millivolt options are Realfyre, Monessen, Empire and Everwarm. In vented gas logs some single tier millivolt burners have an option to have a variable flame height. Vented gas log millivolt brands are Realfyre, Majestic and Grand Canyon.
This system only lights the pilot when you are ready to use the log set. The pilot turns off automatically. These burners are usually battery operated. Some remotes are only on/off and other burners can give you option of variable adjustment. All vent free burners have at least a variable manual adjustment on the burner. Most vented electronic ignition gas logs are usually only on/off remote and there is no variable. However, in Realfyre only the G52 (dual tier) or G31 (triple tier) vented burners have an electronic variable remote control. For electronic ignition vented logs the single tier burners are on/off and no variable. Electronic ignition remotes from some brands usually have thermostat remote controls in vent free gas logs. The thermostatic remote will cycle the burner on and off to maintain the temperature that you set. However, thermostat feature is usually not present in vented gas logs. Vent free brands that we sell in electronic ignition are Realfyre and Monessen. Vented gas log millivolt brands are Realfyre, Majestic and Grand Canyon.
Match lit burners do not offer a safety shut off. Once the gas turns on the gas flows freely where the unit has been lit or not, so we do not sell this type due to the potential risks.
All the gas logs that we offer have a built in safety pilot that means gas can only be on when you are actively engaging the system.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service. Our team of experts is always available to answer any questions you may have about our products or services. We are committed to ensuring that you have a stress-free and enjoyable experience when shopping for your fireplace.
